The project scope consisted of Design, Basic & Detailed Engineering and Supply of complete Gas cleaning system for Copper smelting plant as a part of Pollution Control system to meet the state government norms. The system as a whole is completely equipped with necessary instrumentation for safe and smooth operation of the plant.

The system is having a design gas handling capacity of 50,000 Nm³/h. The regeneration system has a design peak load capacity of  44 TPD of SO₂ absorption.

The system supplied by PL is in collaboration with M/s. Andersen 2000 INC. USA. The system consists of Quench followed by Variable throat venturi scrubber, Entrainment separator, booster fan, horizontal baffled scrubber and ID fan, Double Alkali Regeneration system and Gypsum recovery system.
