The project scope consists of Treatability studies, Feasibility studies, Design, Engineering, Procurement, Construction (EPC) & Operation of Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP).

All effluent streams from API & Bulk drug intermediate plant are treated in the ETP having a capacity of 300 m³/day.

The primary treatment for high TDS & high COD stream consist of Solvent strippers, Multiple effect evaporators and Agitated Thin Film Dryer (ATFD). The primary treatment for low COD stream consists of DAF unit.

The secondary treatment for both the streams (i.e. condensate from MEE) is done through MBR based biological treatment system. The tertiary treatment, consisting of two stage RO membrane system (with 85% recovery), removes residual COD & TDS and produces reusable utility water. The RO reject is then mixed with high TDS & COD stream to make the system as Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD).
